من يتأمل الحالة المذكورة في سياق هذا الحديث ، يعرف عظيم الهول في أحداث يوم القيامة ، وذلك أن النار تحف بأرض الموقف ، وتدني الشمس من الرؤس قدر ميل فكيف تكون حرارة تلك الأرض ، وما ذا يرويها من العرق ، مع أن كل واحد لا يجد إلا قدر موضع قدمه .
فكيف تكون حالة هؤلاء ، إنَّ هذا لما يبهر العقول ، ويقتضي من يستشعر هذا الهول أن : يؤمن بأمور الآخرة ، وأن ليس للعقل فيها مجال ، ولا يفتح المجال للعقل ، ولا قياس ، ولا عادة ، وإن يؤخذ هذا الأمر بالقبول ، ومن كان له نظر ، أو توقف في ذلك : فإنه يدل على خسرانه وحرمانه .
وفائدة الإخبار بذلك : أن يتنبه السامع فيأخذ في الأسباب التي من شأنها أن تخلصه من تلك العظائم ، ويبادر إلى التوبة من التبعات ، ويلجأ إلى الكريم الوهاب وهو ما زال في دار الغنائم ، والفرص متاحة في الأخذ باسباب السلامة .
وأن يعلم أن الأمر جد وماهو بهزل ، والخطب جسيم ، والخسارة فادحة لا تُقاس بمقياس ، والندامة لاحدود لها .
