كان البروفسور الإنجليزي ضمن المتواجدين للأستماع إلى المحاضرة التي ألقاها أحد الدعاة الإنجليز من أصل مغربي في التعريف بالإسلام .
وقد تحدث المحاضر عن قواعد الإسلام ، ثم تحدث عن الطهارة ، وكيف يحرص المسلم على الطهارة بالماء ، وتطرق لعملية الإستنجاء .
فقام هذا البروفسور من مقعده عند انتهاء المحاضرة وصعد المنصة عند المحاضر وقال بالحرف الواحد نحن كلاب ( like the dogs) وسخين ودينكم هذا عظيم فرد عليه المحاضر قائلاً :
لا أنتم لستم بكلاب ، الله تعالى كرم بني آدم ، ولكنكم انحرفتم عن فطرة الإسلام والتعاليم الإلهية ، واخترتم السعي وراء المادة ، وملاذ الدنيا . هل لك رغبة في الدخول في الإسلام ؟ .
قال : لا ، لاتضغط عليّ ( DON’T FORCE ME ) ، قال المحاضر : نحن لا نجبر أحد أن يعتنق الإسلام ، بدون قناعة ذاتية واختيار حر ، قال : لدي إلمام بالإسلام قال : فهذه بعض المطويات المختصرة عن الإسلام ، إقرأها وتفهمها جيداً ، ثم اتصل بي إذا أشكل عليك أي أمر ، قال امهلني ثلاثة أشهر .
فذكر هذا البرفسور أن هذا الإنجليزي ، أتصل به بعد تسعة أيام ، وقال : أنا مستعد في الدخول في الديانة الإسلامية ، ولكن بشرط أن أعلن إسلامي في قاعة المحاضرات ، التي تتسع ل 500 شخص ، قال : له هنيئاً لك ، لقد انقذك الله من مصير مظلم .
