الزبر جمع زبور ، وهو الكتاب ، مقصود فيه : كل ما كان من الأفعال عليه مؤاخذه في الآخر ، وفيه تحذير من سوء الأعمال قال الله تعالى : (وكل إنسان ألزمناه طائره في عنقه * ونخرج له يوم القيامة كتاباً يلقاه منشوراً إقرأ كتابك .. ) .
وكل شيء حقيرأوعظيم مستطر أي : مكتوب مسطور وكل ذلك يعلمه الله ، ويحاسب عليه . وهذا قوله تعالى : ( وما تسقط من ورقة إلا يعلمها ولا حبة في ظلمات الأرض ولا رطب ولا يابس إلا في كتاب مُبين ) .
فالصغير : مستعار للشيء الذي لا شأن له ولا يهتم به الناس ، وكذلك كبائر الإثم والفواحش وما دونها من اللم والصغائر .
يقول الشيخ السعدي : ( وكل صغير وكبير مستطر ) أي : مسطر مكتوب ، وهذا حقيقة القضاء والقدر ، أن جميع الأشياء كلها ، قد علمها الله تعالى ، وسطرها عنده في اللوح المحفوظ ، فما شاء الله كان ، وما لم يشأ لم يكن ، فما أصاب الإنسان لم يكن ليخطئه ، وما أخطأه لم يكن ليصيبه .
